We are seeking Tax Managers with 6-10 years of experience with ultra-high net worth individuals, complex private client services, fiduciary or private foundation consulting.

 

Tax Managers work closely with our Partners to provide innovative tax solutions for our sophisticated client base. We service a wide range of clients influenced by Silicon Valley, with our largest practice groups serving influential individuals and founders, pre-IPO and public companies, along with trade and investment partnerships across a variety of industries. Primary responsibilities include reviewing complex returns, planning, projection and compliance projects, and reviewing work from the Associate and Senior levels. Mentoring team members, providing thoughtful feedback, and transferring knowledge particularly to those growing under you are highly valued by the Firm. 

Responsibilities

  • Reviewing complex individual, fiduciary, partnership and private foundation returns including matters not limited to alternative investments, stock options/equity compensation, QSBS, venture capital and carried interest;
  • Anticipating and identifying client tax issues and concerns, providing consultative and strategic solutions for wealth preservation, estate planning, charitable contributions (private foundations, CRTs) and multi-generational wealth transfer strategies;
  • Evaluate and handle multi-state and international considerations and filings;
  • Foster practice growth internally with the development of AI initiatives, process improvements and externally assisting with client proposals;
  • Track continuous changes in tax laws and collaborate to implement best practices;
  • Mentoring, training and supervising new Associates and Seniors. Uphold the Firm’s high standards for team support and guidance; and
  • Participating in the recruitment of new staff and interns.  

Qualifications

  • Current and active CPA license;
  • Bachelors or Masters degree focused in Accounting or Taxation, JD or LLM;
  • 6-10 years of public accounting taxation experience serving ultra-high-net worth clientele;
  • Driven, self starter with passion for serving external clients;
  • Strong knowledge of technical tax platforms, research tools and MS Office tools;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for building and maintaining client relationships; and
  • Strong leadership abilities and experience managing a team of tax professionals.

The expected salary range for this position is $120,000 - $230,000 per year. Actual placement within this range is determined by the candidate’s experience, qualifications, education, and geographic area.
