Overview

The Information Technology Project Management Senior Associate should have a sharp business mind and a proven ability to strategize and implement technology rollouts. The role involves overseeing multiple complex projects, leading cross-functional teams, managing budgets and resources, and driving strategic initiatives to achieve organizational goals. The ideal candidate will be an excellent leader and will have experience in collaborating with staff of different disciplines to produce results in a timely manner. The successful candidate must be able to make frequent trade-offs between business targets and projects and/or operational performance.

Responsibilities

Strategy and Planning

  • Collaborate with multiple practice areas, vendors and the internal IT project team to plan and develop scope, deliverables, required resources, work plan, budget, and timing for new initiatives.
  • Organize and coordinate multiple projects and provide strategic guidance to project teams and resource managers.
  • Develop new programs to support the strategic direction of the organization.

 Stakeholder Engagement

  • Clearly identify program stakeholders and keep them abreast and engaged.
  • Building trust and communicating effectively with various stakeholders at all levels of the organization, including senior leadership. 

Risk & Issue Management

    • Assess potential risks and challenges, develop mitigation plans and implement solutions to ensure programs remain on schedule and within scope.

Quality Assurance

  • Ensure that all project deliverables meet or exceed established quality standards and compliance requirements.

Financial Awareness

  • Coordinate program budgets, tracking costs, and project-manage resources effectively to deliver within financial constraints. 

Operational Awareness

  • Coordinate project and project teams for optimal returns, resolve higher scope issues and delegate cross-project initiatives.
  • Prepare reports for project Directors.
  • Monitor outcomes and ensure the project adapts appropriately.
  • Coordinate complex issues and problem solve to ensure timely delivery.

Qualifications

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration or related field.
  • PMP certification is strongly preferred.
  • PgMP certification - an asset but not required.
  • Proven experience in an advanced project management role (preference given to those with 7+ years of project management experience).
  • Experience within an accounting firm is preferred - implementing technological initiatives for tax, finance, HR and audit practice areas.
  • Thorough understanding of project/program management techniques and methods.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office and project management software.
  • Outstanding leadership, facilitation, problem-solving, time-management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent listening, interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability for occasional overtime to meet project deadlines.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time, and physically able to participate in training sessions, presentations and meetings.
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a keyboard, mouse, visual ability to work with monitors and other devices as required in the role.

The hourly range for this role is $45.67 - $60/hr. The pay range reflects the San Francisco Bay Area and compensation will be adjusted for each candidate based on their individual geographic location of work.
